"sunshine, sunshine is fine.

feel it in my skin, warming up my mind. sometimes you've got to give in, to win. i love the days when it shines. whoa let it shine."

ipod on shuffle. perfect time to reminisce.

It rained today. For a long time. And so the me and the sibs couldn't jump on the trampoline like we've done everyday since Christmas. depressing. But the rain was refreshing. I didn't dance in it or walk in it (unless i was going out to the car), so basically really no basking in it, I just listened to it. and it was good. I worry about the birds though. Poor little birds. I've always worried about birds during rain. But I'm sure they're fine. I've always just been a worry-body.

Yesterday, I took a bus around town. Stopped at this cool little corner store and picked up a necklace of a key with the word "peace" on it, and now that i think of it I finally understand why it's on a key. Because, peace is the key. get it, get it?
Then I went to the german bakery I had been stoked to visit for a while now. Old Heidelberg, is it's name, and my goodness they're treats were delish! I picked up 3chewy candies, and a tiny chocolate nutcracker for a friend. And guess what! The candies are actually imported from the Vaterland :) Cool huh? Then I picked out five baked goods (one for me and one for each of my siblings.) I got 2 almond danishes, 2 apple danishes, and 1 cherry strudel. And guess the total! $9.92. I was shocked. I even had the cashier repeat it for me. I dunno, when there's something I really want to buy, in my head I've assumed that the price is going to be outrageous. Ha. Oh and yes, I did take a bus alllll the way back home with a box of baked goods. I didn't think that one through at first, but lucky for me, it wasn't as much of a hassle as I thought it would be.
While waiting for my second bus this sweet old man walks by & says,
"Anything good in there?" And I was like, "Ohhh yeah."
And then we just laughed and carried on with our lives, but I kinda wanted to mention how the goods were from a super rad german bakery, but I didn't. It was just a passing by kind of conversation anyways, so I just mentioned it in my head.

Later that day, I went to Fashion Square mall with Brandy, Carly, and Kari. And I picked up the cutest book from Urban Outfitters.
The Book of Love.

And while I was paying for it and making small talk with the cashier, Carly asks me what book I ended up getting and I tell her and she blurts out loudly,
"Yeah, you really need that one!"
You know implying that I'm a loser in love, then we all start laughing, including the cashier.
Haha, life's good.

p.s. what's up with me and these super long blog post lately? i dunno, but reading them later on makes me really happy.
p.p.s vaterland means fatherland, aka Germany. ;)
